Aaron, a native of Naples, NY, has been a professional musician since the age of 16. Whether performing on stage, recording in the studio, or teaching lessons, he has found his calling in music. With a journey spanning a wide range of genres and instruments, Aaron has discovered his true passion in songwriting, crafting genre-defying sounds and lyrics that resonate deeply. Richie Stearns began playing music at 14 in junior high with a group of like-minded hippie kids. It was a typical start, but the music they were exposed to was anything but—string band and jug band music. Locally, there were several active bands in these genres, and on their record players, they listened to artists like Lou Reed, Bob Marley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Doc Watson, Jimmy Rogers, Hank Williams, and the Skillet Lickers. The doors were wide open in those days. They attended experimental free schools that prioritized creativity and independence above all else. While being tutored in acoustic fiddle music by mentors from the local music scene, they were also encouraged to think for themselves and create their own kind of music.
